S.P.I.R.E. Reading

This class will be using the S.P.I.R.E. reading program.  S.P.I.R.E. is a structured literacy program for older, struggling readers. It is a spiraling curriculum utilizing multi-sensory activities and explicit teacher-led instruction following a 10 step sequence in every lesson.  S.P.I.R.E. includes instruction in all of the key components of reading- phonological awareness, phonics, spelling, fluency, vocabulary and comprehension. Out of class assignments will be an important aspect of the program to help your learner review and reinforce skills taught in class.
