Cheryl Farquhar

Cheryl is the mom of a neurodiverse teenager and has embraced the values and differences found in the neurodiverse community. She has homeschooled her daughter in Math for three years using the Math Mammoth learning curriculum supplemented with her own curriculum content. Cheryl believes children need to build on a solid foundation in math before they can move to the next level and be successful. She also believes they need successes in math to build confidence spiraled with the challenges needed to learn new topics. Cheryl is a graduate from the University of Maryland with a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering. She worked for the Navy for 9 years before opening an art gallery.  She was a full-time stay-at-home mom for 16 years, but now works part-time at an art gallery and frame shop.  Cheryl is a learning facilitator in math and the History of Science.
